Many on here have faster speeds.
Others aren't so lucky.
I personally have 20 Mbps Download and 10 Mbps Upload, with a 400GB data cap. (I do between 200 and 300GB per month, we are 6 on this network, as well as VOIP phone)
All that... for $63.18/month...(just for the internet, doesn't include anything else)

Which I feel is expensive for what it is, especially compared to other countries that get like, 1 Gbps D/U for like $30.

Prove it :) Will be 10 Gbit at max, if you even get 1 Gbit.

Uhm, no...

You can have a 1tbit connection. (There is no speedtest server that provides nearly that much tho)

Uhm, yes. The fastest interconnect in Asia (which is being built right now) doesn't even deliver 100 Tbit, and these cables are extremely wide. No, you can't get Tbit. 1-10 Gbit is the fastest. Besides, not even the 10 Gbit CAT 7 port is standard. You can forget about that.

Who is talking about consumer grade shit? lol

1tbit has been possible since 2009!!!! That is 6 years, lol...

Who cares about that old woman? That was her son working for some provider, so he could install it. Install some huge fibers, nobody wants that. Who cares about the possibility? This is needed for consumers. If it isn't (like in your case), it doesn't count. No server delivers that speed. As if anybody was interested in your bluff. Show me the sync rate and router, otherwise I won't believe you, just as nobody else will.

"Nobody wants that" 640K is enough for everyone!!!

Tinfoilhat time, the aliens are invading!!!

I just proved you wrong on so many levels, and this is all you have?

Well, since you are obviously smarter and more well informed than the worlds best scientists at the subject, why don't you tell me why you thinks it's not possible...?

Have you seen fibers with the width of about 50 centimeters or more lying on the ground of the sea for the interconnect? Since that is about the with of a fiber lying around. No? So, not really possible. And your links about experiments don't claim a consumer usability. Besides, PCI SSDs can barely write with about 10 Gbit speed, so that is enough. There is no use for normal consumers, and neither there is for enthusiasts. And neither there are servers that provide that speed. I am having trouble in Germany to achieve 100 Mbit from normal servers. These speeds are made for showing off, not more. Show me your "Tbit" sync rates, or it doesn't exist.

As I stated there is a use for them, if you can do 1 tbit and split out to 100 servers @10gbit each...

I never mentioned consumers, as this is not for them... -_-

I can easily do 300mbit from steam servers here in norway...

And because only scientists have it means it doesn't exist? So there is no space rockets, no moon program etc...?

You claimed to have it, and now prove it. Your router has an interface, you know?

Edit: Wasn't even you, so why you discuss it? O.o

Yeah, I never claimed to have it, as you figured out :P

I chose to discuss it because I saw that most of what you were saying were wrong overall, but right if only thinking consumer

Yup, sorry :(

I knew that it was technically possible, but, as you noticed, I was totally consumer.

What kind of connection do you have? Is 300 Mbit your connection speed, or does Steam not allow more?

At home I have 300/300 (I can get more, but I don't want to pay for more atm)

At work we have 1Gbit
