YouTube 1080p

fracking4oil
Go to solution Solved by fracking4oil,

Figured it out, you have to enable dash playback now to get anything above 720p. :(

That's silly, the whole point of YouTube Center was to disable that :P Along with changing the layout and scaling videos.

Yeah well, I guess I can live with dash playback as long as I get the layout changes, auto res. & player size.

I still get it.

Some PC gamers also post videos in 1440p, but my internet can only handle 1080p.

1440 plays at 20 FPS, which I find impossible to watch.

IE

*shudders*

Haha kinda expecting that reaction. But hey it works really well for me. Faster, lower memory utilisation and doesn't crash as much as Chrome or FF. Not going to miss using them anytime soon.

Literally never had a chrome crash, though it does seem to have a memory leak issue.

If you have a dl speed of over 5mpbs, dash playback is actually better.

Dash would only be a hindrance if your connection was too slow to stream the footage in real time.

Could be maybe caused by the memory leak I dunno? Chrome is so inefficient with the memory and because I multitask a lot, I need all the RAM i can use when doing work. If I open multiple tabs when working, it will start hogging down my cpu.

I quite like using IE if I'm being honest. Using it for both my desktop and laptop. And the Bing hompage changes its background and my desktop wallpaper everyday so it is a pleasure to look at. Sometimes it is animated. :)

Yeah, I was having an issue with dash playback when I downloaded YouTube Center, but it seems to be ok now. Btw, I get roughly 30 Mbps...
