Blurry display on a freshly installed Windows 10

flowzy
Go to solution Solved by flowzy,

We tried a different cable (HDMI to be specific) and it didn't change anything.

Turned out it was display's fault. We changed it to a different one and it worked.

Thanks for trying to help out anyway!

So my friend got a new PC and after installing Windows 10 and new nvidia drivers, everything is blurry even on the native resolution (which is 1920x1080).

The display is quite old and is a monitor/tv hybrid. It is connected to the GPU through DVI-D -> HDMI connector (if that helps).

Does anybody here know what could be the solution or has previously encountered anything like this before?

Also, the display doesn't have an auto calibration setting, it only has a "Reset" button, which doesn't help at all.

check settings in the tv, its probably has sharpness of something like that set to high.

See if you can reset the Tv settings to default, then work from there.

Have already tried that. It just makes it not as much bordered.

It just doesn't look like a 1920x1080 resolution on 1920x1080 display.

Was the same setup working before installing win 10?

I have not tried installing any different OS on this PC, because it is newly built.

Then its probably the connection. Try using another cable or try to plug it into another monitor or tv.
