The grey circle on the cooler is the thermal paste, it's fine to install like that.

Hey, I have this Cryorig A40 Ultimate, and it hasn't come with any thermal paste. And I don't have any thermal paste myself. Is it safe to install it?

Yes, it comes with thermal paste pre-applied (As seen with the grey circle on the copper contact).  

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Yes, it's the gray area. Just don't touch the gray area, thermal compound is nasty stuff (difficult to remove)

edit: i mean touching with your finger for example, for your cpu and cooler it's fine, it's meant to be there :P
