Specs needed to max out Arma 3

Hello, I plan to upgrade or build a new tower soon. The most graphically intensive game I play is Arma 3 and I was wondering what specs I would need to max out the settings for 1080p and achieve 60+ fps.

My budget is around 1500-1700 USD maximum.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can make.

From what I know of the game it is very CPU intense and there's times that no matter what your specs are it will lag

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

You could have the beefiest system ever created and the game will still lag.  You can blame the devs for that one.

The issue is that the engine will fail to end loading of physical assets when they disappear from view, i.e. a helicopter flying over a mountain range. This causes the CPU to continue needing cycles to track the helicopter's movements though you don't see the helicopter.

I'd get whatever the fastest quad-core is at the moment.

16GB of 3200MHz RAM with low latency if possible.

980 Ti or 1080 Ti.

An SSD to run the game off of.

And whatever else you need.

I heard that if you have max view distance that the CPU load goes down,

That is true, I guess I'll have to ask my university for a student loan so I can buy NASA's super computer Jebaited

First look, I have heard that the EVGA superNOVA NEX has some voltage issues that lead to early HDD failure,

Second look, no RGB?!? This is LTT forums for crying out loud! Although The price adds an extra 200 USD for the RGB.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Then maybe its fine, I just heard people say that the NEX series has a voltage regulation problem. Should be fine though, I dont have a hard drive in this build :P
