As it turns out, GOG likes Ars, too! We've been in talks with the GOG crew for the past couple of weeks and as of this morning, I am happy to announce that Ars and GOG are entering into a partnership—which means there are some cool things that are about to happen.

 

The first of those cool things is that we're giving away a few hundred thousand copies of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition—all you have to do is click in the sidebar over there to claim a code.

Its an awesome move for sure. I have already finished the Witcher Enhanced Edition on Steam which i got as a gift from a friend.

 

The game was very different from what i expected and when i started playing the Witcher 2 (stopped for now), i couldnt believe how good the visuals were and how much different the combat system was, i was honestly disappointed to see such a massive change :P. Wonder if they will give the Witcher 2 aswell ehehe.

Think Mass Effect 1 with but even more unwieldy.  Its not at all an FPS, but damn are the controls ever aggravating.  Soo much so I had to stop playing, got fairly near the end and just couldn't take it anymore.  Mod the snot out of it for your first go, don't even bother with a vanilla run(there aren't any mods that do anything story wise that I know of, all visual/controls sorts of things iirc).
