Slowest internet speed?

So, I was using my laptop and I wondered to check how fast my internet was going, since it was being really sluggish. I went on Google and typed in "speed test". This is what I got.

go to speedtest.net and test there.

Contact your ISP and complain. That's the American way. :)

You forgot to mention the part were they just shut you off because it costs more than $3 to fix

It does not have an ethernet jack. Also Ookla will not load.

3rrd world countries make up a great portion of world population, then there's people like the amish who choose to live in some form of a "classical" way, and people who live in very remote areas. you dont even need to search far for the last one, there's sections of the netherlands who quite literally only have power and phone lines, not even cable TV, because it is simply not economically viable to put coax there.

I was talking strictly in the US. Most people just live in semi rural areas or slightly distant. Nothing extreme and you can still see your neighbors. It's a very big thing in my school as students any times have conflicts as they give us chromebooks but they don't have internet to use them. Most just use data plans from verizion or AT&T.

I Definitely don't have 700Mbps internet. I am on DSL in the middle of nowhere. Miami is just the server that I connected to. I have been connected to servers in Georgia in the past.

Your ping time is what is most hideous about that connection.  Something else is wrong.  With ping times that slow, your bandwidth or speed numbers will be low as well.

if you're lucky, you can get higher than that, it's simply that most of the servers are gigabit, and they are shared between multiple people speedtesting. i was speedtesting on a direct fiber line to nucleus the other day, it constantly bounced between 500-800Mbps

that seems VERY bad, like dial up, apparently compared to even good internet in America my internet speed is above average, I would call this average for home internet.
