What build should I go with ?

Hello guys, this is my first post so bear with me, i'm trying to buy a custom build PC from eBay and i'm having a hard time deciding which build to go with, keep in mind that both builds each cost 1588 Australian dollars. thank you

Those are really cheap! The second one is definitely better if you are running a 1080p 144HZ monitor as it hits 144 at basically anything.

Unless productivity in terms of the need for virtualization, video editing or any other CPU intensive tasks is a must on your computer, then the first one is better.

 

If you have a 1080p 60hz monitor, it is time for an upgrade.

Won't the i5 6500 bottle neck the gtx 1080 ? I've seen some videos on youtube which shows stuttering but with high frame rates, but I will be using an LG 29" 21:9 Full HD UltraWide IPS LED Monitor (29UM58)

the i5 will bottleneck the gtx 1080, it's already struggling in 1080p 144hz with a gtx 1070.
