Can you make your own rc transmitter?

Legolessed

I was wondering if it was possible to make your own transmitter for less than something like an fs-i6. I have a jjrc h6d transmitter and a couple others for things like the gimbals and I also have two di pole antennas. The only thing I need is the main control board right? And then I can add channels and stuff like that to it? If this is possible it would be so cool. To.put my FPV monitor in the center and have two gimbals around it, then put some switches on the front. Is it possible? Thank you so much and have a fantastic day!

This guy called "RC tracktor guy" has a couple of blog/forum posts where he builds his own RC transmitter with the popular NRF24l01 modules and some micros. Here check it out: http://rctractorguy.com/forum/home/rc-controllers/custom-rc-controllers. You can get most of the modules quite cheaply from ebay, aliexpress and such sites.
