The best is the Intel DC P3608 but that's super expensive and not meant for consumers

Pretty sure the best, most reliable and secure way to go about 2TB of storage is to get 16 128gb ssds and do raid 0 with them all. Right?

Then the 850 EVO 2TB looks like your best bet

Why would you want such a large SSD though? The best thing to do would be to raid0 two 500 GB or 1TB SSDs together and clone them to an HDD every day. Or you could skip the harddrive entirely and go for a cloud backup solution like backblaze or crashplan

Honestly though, if I were you I would pass on a 2TB drive for now, unless it's absolutely 100% needed.

Reason I say that is that it will cost you a lot of cash. I'd recommend waiting a year considering how each year higher capacity SSDs become more affordable. I remember a few years back when a 1tb ssd would run you nearly a thousand bucks, but now you can get them for around $300ish. I'd rather wait a year or so to see if a 2tb ssd goes down a few hundreds more

On top of all of this, SSD prices have gone up over the last six months due to that fire in [China I think?]. (Six months ago you could get a 256 EVO for $75 and now its $100)
