Here's a seriously high-end build with great overclocking potential. If you're up to it, I'd recommend investing in a delidding tool and delidding the 7700k, as temperatures are likely to be over 20 degrees celsius cooler. It also has an awesome monochrome colour scheme going. This is a value sweet spot, so I'd recommend allocating a separate budget for the monitor.

Run an ethernet cable rather than investing in a Wi-Fi card for better stability and consistency.

BAD idea to suggest delidding a processor.

He was talking about delidding an 6700k in the video. Hope you can read

It does NOT matter which processor it is... it's generally agreed that delidding ANY processor is not beneficial at all.

alright fine

Why a Xeon 1225?

Why a cooler then? You do know it has a stock cooler right?

Why max out with 4 sticks of RAM already? Does average user want expandibility just in case on such an expensive build?

It's supports dual channel anyway

Why that monitor? It's a regular 1080p TN panel. You could have gotten him at least an IPS or a Freesync for not much more

A hundred dollar on a wifi card?

You decided to be picky on stuff that does not matter most and yet you put a Xeon in a gaming build

Also @Aereldor no need to delid, the temps are high but not something to seriously worry about since beginners won't go on board and overclock too much and the H5 you picked will keep it decently cool

I know, I know. I just think it's pretty foolproof with a delidding tool, and temperature improvements are ridiculous on the 7700k. Intel's basically used the same Thermal compound on all the chips from the locked celerons to the 7700k.

I was recommending the 6700k until recently because of this.

I trust Linus Tech over anyone else's opinion.

I've already shown the video that Linus did, it's obvious that you DID NOT WATCH the video.

Had you done that, you would have not made those childish comments.

Generally agreed by who?

That's some misinformation if I've ever seen it.  Something tells me you've never done it yourself and have been watching Linus' failure of a delid video.

He/She was the one that suggested delidding.

I simply stated that it was a bad idea, especially to someone who more than likely has never done this before.
