Anyways, take a look at the prices on RX 480 cards. You can get a 4GB model easily for that budget and sometimes 8GB models go on sale for that price.

MSI makes great cards, Asus ones are good too. Sapphire of course too.

the best for that price would be rx 480 cards, and my recommendation would be rx 480 by xfx (the gtr black edition), because they work pretty nice and cools pretty well aswell

but remember on gpu bound games, your gpu will get bottleneck by your cpu around 17%, so i suggest upgrading your cpu later on too

Remember to quote me (or someone else), otherwise we won't going to recieve your answers...

PC Specs                   PCPartpicker full performance builds (from350$-1250$)

Thank you for your reply!

CPU Upgrade + RX 480 here cost $300USD, then it's back to building a new rig

Also the diff between currrent and max cpu is 2.8ghz-3.7ghz. is that worth $110??

My apologies, allow me to clarify.

The CPU is currently 2.8ghz. The maximum upgrade the motherboard will support is the 3.7ghz vers of the same CPU.

The lowest price I could find for the 3.7ghz CPU is $110 and the RX 480 was $190 USD. $300 approaches the cost for building new.

My apologies, there was a typo in the OTP; the GPU budget is $150 USD.

For a new card, that only leaves the RX 460 as an option with the RX 470 4GB being a "if it's on a good deal"-card.

In this price range you could also look for second hand cards. GTX 970 and R9 290(X) cards sell for about this much. Keep in mind with the R9 you will get quite a loud card.

As mentioned earlier, yeah your CPU will likely bottleneck any of the cards mentioned (other than the 460 really), but it's not a huge deal.

The case is very basic, but it will hold all your parts and comes with a fan.  If you put in another $40, you can get a really nice case:  NZXT S340, or a Phanteks P400, or a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M, maybe a Fractal Design (depending on the prices).

...or take that same $40 and get a 2x8GB kit of RAM.... 2400MHz for this motherboard.

No one will ever see it. And I'm 36, so I don't really care. Thank you for looking out though!! As we say here, "Nice cases is fer rich folks'."

Note the Seasonic M12ii 520W power supply for $50.  Geeez, that is a good deal.  It was $64 last year at the best of times and that was a great deal.

It's impressive! I was hoping to avoid pre-built iBuyPower, CybertronPC and others on their sites or their listings on Amazon or Best Buy. Started building in 2005, Don't really like pre-built, but they are getting cheaper and cheaper.

A little cheaper if you don't mind a slightly less CPU performance:
