Should I save up for a new tv or should I save up for a gaming pc?

NerdyCoder

I currently have a 1080i tv and a PS4. The tv is slowly dying, and the tv is incapable of displaying 1080i on PS4 for some odd reason.

But on the other side, my current laptop is too weak to play games. It cannot even run gta 5 on 720p low settings.

Should I save up for a new tv, or should I save up for a gaming pc?

DUE TO MANY REQUESTS I HAVE LEFT THIS FORUM FOREVER.

1080P TVs don't cost a whole lot unless you want to go for a 4K one.

That's still much less than a gaming desktop or laptop. You can get at most a i3 powered laptop with that much.

This should be a self-explanatory question.

You like gaming on PC more. Ok, so that means you're ready to switch right? But you like watching movies on your TV. So, go with an affordable 4K or 1080p TV, anything you link from LG, Sony, or Samsung, is going to be great TV's. Just look at the reviews and they tell the whole story.

Just ask yourself which one you feel like dipping more money into and which one is more of a priority.

what resolution are your movies? If 1080p then I don't see the point in getting a 4k TV. Might as well get a 1080p one if you want to replace your existing one. 4K upscaling isn't worth it. Then save up and get a good Gaming PC with its monitor that could also be shared with the PS4 if you want, unless that's what you run Plex off of or you prefer your TV for you PS4.
