boltoflightning

Isn't it suppose to release March 10th? I haven't seen any place to pre order it yet.

D; I think I got over excited because Linus did a video on it. If it's released tomorrow though...

Well, supposedly, the GTX 1080 TI Founder's Edition is going to be on sale tomorrow (10 Mar 2017) and the AIB versions "mid-March" (I would say "soon" except it seems that Valve has copyrighted that word for the release of Half-Life 3). The thing is, I haven't really seen anything official pertaining to dates, so....

for some reason the Titan X has disapeared from the Swedish sites I ususally visit ( the bigger ones as Webhallen and komplett). But the 1080 ti is not found there either.

I would wait before other companies releases their gpu, they are ususally better that standard.

Who knows how long itll be until the aftermarket ones are available. So not much oclocking potential.

All youll be able to get in the meantime is FE one with the shitty loud as hell blower cooler that will thermal throttle. It apparently runs at 85c under gaming load.

Not a big deal if you are planning on a liquid cooling setup, but something to consider otherwise.

So I saw this.  How much is the Asus ROG Strix tax over other "Standard" cards?

ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti OC edition

https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-GTX1080TI-O11G-GAMING/

Also why does Nvidia always stick to those blower style coolers?  I know in some cases they are better for in case heat management but the same cooler every time?

So do you think the Strix one (which I personally like better than founders edition cards) would have better performance due to the 3 fans vs 1 in the FE?
