Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8+ device picture leaked.

My better half got S6 that is just perfect for her and I went for S7. Both Edge variants. Even if S8 was only €100 extra I would keep my current one. I am pretty sure my wife would do the same. There is nothing appealing in S8 when it comes to looks.

I mean that icon looks almost identical to apple's home button

That underside looks identical to the iphone 6/6s...and yes, I understand that many phones now looks like that on the underside...but apple more or less had the same underside since the iphone 4 and all the way to the 6s...

Uh...what?

Sure, the home icon looks a little like Apple's. But it's not exact. If it were round, you could just as easily say it's copying any variety of other phones that use that instead.

The underside has a port, a headphone jack, and a speaker. How do you figure they change that?

The slots aren't the same shape, it's a different connector, and there aren't screws by the port.

Am I not allowed to state how it looks like an iphone? To me, it does look like an iphone but maybe not to you...

Yes, you're are correct as there are only 3 "usable layouts...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Pretty sure I didn't say that.

It has one iPhone like feature. It's a pretty odd conclusion to come to.

Meanwhile, Samsung's been advertising their series of 8 battery safety tests for the S8, with the actual phones making the appearance. Looks just like the S6 and S7, physical home button and all.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

I like that the home button appears to be digital rather than mechanical .

I don't like the curved edge.

Not sure I would trade in my Galaxy S7 for something with a curved screen because I like to put a good case on my phone and IDK if they would make one for a curved edge phone.

It'd have to be really really thin for capacity to be so limited. Or are the idiots designing it going retard like bow Apple is trying to make thinner phones?

Batteries aren't just thick. They can be taller. They can be wider.

The A9 Pro is huge. The S8 models are significantly smaller in both height and width.

Also, capacity does not always equal performance.

For a new device it looks like it's in pretty crappy condition. Maybe the picture isn't doing it justice.

Leak pictures all looks like crap. The real device will look much better.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

It does look like an iphone. They copied it. It is obvious.

Original iphones (before touch ID came in) has home buttons like this :  ip5_homebutton_black.jpg

Samsung's new button looks like this:

The article itself already states that the 5.7" inch model is as big as the Note 7.

Yes capacity does not equal perf, it also does not mean you need a smaller battery for a better processor/chipset.

The disparity between 5000mAh and 3500mAh is huge... smaller phones already easily have 3000mAh+

Yes. Screen wise. They're both 5.7" models.

There's weight, where they have put the modules (camera, fingerprint sensor as those generally are quite large, etc) and other factors that limit how large the battery can be. Not to mention marketing, where you want to push people to your higher tier models perhaps with a larger battery being one factor in that decision. Plus added weight of a bigger battery yadda yadda. They're making a device to cater to the masses, at the most streamlined price possible. If they're fine with the battery life a 3500mah unit gives them, why give them more at a reduction in profit?

Am i the only one who never use any screen protector?

You most definitely are not; and even those who do don't need to use a tempered glass screen protector. I use a normal one on my S7 Edge, and it's worked great. Can't even tell it's there.

I don't really see the craze for tempered glass protectors tbh.
