What should I do with 300$?

Ashiella

Usd. I have a fair amount of money and 300$ that I wanna spend but idk what on. I can sell my 970 and get two 480s, I could get an lga 1366 12c 24t server with lots of that ram. I could get a 20TB NAS. Or a K95 Platinum and a new mouse. My keyboard has a few sticky keys that I'm too lazy to fix. And my mouse feels weird sometimes when I click. The server and NAS is a why not situation. 480s because performance and freesync. Or I could get a new 4K or Ultrawide monitor.. Which should I get?

Sell the 970 and get a 1070, then save some money for a 1440p monitor down the road.

Better dead than Red.

Personally i think your 970 is still relevant, but your hardware is not. consider upgrading your board/CPU or fix your keyboard. I just bought one of those MasterKeys Pro L Linus was hocking on one of his last videos.

I DONNO! LOL! It's not here yet... i tapped around the keyboards at bestbuy the other day, i wasn't a fan of the Razr greens (super duper clicky) and the Cherry Reds were too soft and spongy. there weren't any Browns out so i went off of Paul's Hardware (excellent!) review last year and i think his preference is close to mine. so that's that. i'll review it if you want.

while your single core performance is good, a lot more AAA titles coming out are leveraging multi-core processing. I realize there are some folks (MxR) who play 5 year old games every day and are happy... but are they really? If you eventually find a new waste of time, i think you're going to be left wanting. and for $1700 you could build a beast.

Uh that would mean the 3930k being a 6-Core would just get better performance. You really don't need more than a 2600k if you are aiming for 60fps at 1080p.

The razed black widow I had, the keys bottomed out at different heights and it fucked with me so hard. I spilt tea on it and returned it to bestbuy. And yeah, reds are odd. I like knowing when it actuated.

Yeah, like DX12, I'll continue to love my 6c 12t until Intel main streams their 6c 12t or 8c 16t line with higher base single core (150pts or higher) lol rip MxR, he plays fallout 4 too. Probably he's happy. Idk. Probably not. Yeah true. I'd use ryzen but I'm at 1080p so I don't really want to.
