How to start a business around tech?

Just like you would start any other business, doing hundreds of hours of research, making a plan, getting funding, permits, etc...

Depends on your knowledge. It is not a good idea to start a business with no concrete topic at all and if you dont have a very good knowledge base on what you will be doing

Then i would suggest a Local troubleshooting business, cause if you want to take this online, i dont think there are people who are willing to ship there smartphone/computer. Even if there is, i dont think it's enough to the point you can make a living out of it.

Start by doing research, make a business plan, etc. you cant just decide to start a business, you will likely fail.

Go local, go to your neighbors and talk to them about your business in helping trouble shoot phones and other devices, give them a business card

This. The tech industry is incredibly saturated. Depends on your location too.

If you're thinking of getting into the hardware selling arena then it's very difficult. Margins are low and you'll need to get good volume to have a sustainable business.

If you're really serious about getting into the industry id follow the advise of the other posters. Get yourself very well trained up on fault finding / general tech skills and market yourself as a self employed local IT support/Texhnician. Overheads are low and you can charge a modest hourly rate. The greater the skill set the more you can charge.

Ive known quite a few people that started in the general IT support market and progressed into specialist networking fields. From £10/hr as a technician to today charging upwards of £100/hour.

Get a day job to pay the bills, then do what @Enderman suggested. Word your ass off and stay motivated to your ultimate goal.

Also tip from someone who ran his own business for a decade. Never log the hours you work on your own business and then try to work out what you ultimately make an hour, you will cry.

you start a buisiness, by starting. there's actualluy nothing more to it. you decide what your buisiness will be doing (preferably something that wont make you "another idiot on the pile", but rather something that'll make you unique in the field.), you fill out the necessary paperwork, and you set up shop.
