I am so TRIGGERED right now!

Syphno

Well this topic made some of the alarm bells in my head to be triggered.

No but come on now, one day more!

One day more!
Another day, another destiny.
This never-ending road to Calvary;
These men who seem to know my crime
Will surely come a second time.
One day more!

Thus, from the war of nature, from famine and death, the most exalted object which we are capable of conceiving, namely, the production of the higher animals, directly follows. There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.

See here is my thought, I was 110% ready to make a purchase a week ago, I love new products don't get it wrong but I feel like I'm being string lined. I know what I want (on optimized twitch stream) I want to build one PC without breaking my bank and I want it to run all games great while streaming. So if the 8 core ryzen is the chip I need I want to know that. ATM I still have no idea because nothing to go off of in real world applications

Well if I were you I would go with Ryzen unless Intel now cuts prices on all CPUs and you would find an amazing deal. Because if the benchmarks are real then the performance per dollar will really transform how it currently looks. I would wait for the release, and then make a decision, like what is the worst that could happen?

Unless you are actually in knee deep need of a new system.

Nobody is at the least bit uneasy about this traditional market strategy? We have the option to buy this chip right now, BUT NOBODY actually knows real world performance, reliability, and how much heat will this budget chip dish out? because these are things I think about in this situation.

Just checked amazon, 1080's are going for $550-$600. Appears the prices haven't taken effect as of yet.

Yep, looking at newegg I see the same thing. I think the prices of 1080s will  probably drop when the online merchants see less 1080 sales as more info about the 1080ti releases. I know they will drop soon because of the new $499 value nVidia has put the 1080 at (look in the description of this video:

) When the card is eminently close to being shipped to users you'll see the 1080s price slip a lot. Probably mid to low $400 range with MIRs and board partners competing with each other.

CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.7 GHz

GPU: XFX GTS RX580 4GB

Ive waited 2 months to come up with the money for my 'PROJECT STREAMING GAMING BUILD'!

As soon as I got all the money and had a build planned out BAM! Here is RYZEN, ohhhhh you want to build a PC now? that's funny. Oh you want specs? that's funny to! Lets hide the full benchmark specs until the 2nd of march! Now I'm not understanding why are there no pre release benchmarks avail from reviewers? I'm trying to build a great stream build and I'm frustrated of waiting. Should I just get the Mid tier RYZEN and MB and call it a day? My CPU of choice was the 7700K with a Asus prime Z270-AR MB. Is anybody eles getting TRIGGERD?

Most of us have known about Ryzen for many months. Don't blame the industry simply because you just got here.

Well actually people have done them and they know, but they can't tell because NDA. It's basically like every other launch ever.

You know, launching a product is not only saying "This product is now released" and bam, everything is working out. You have to sort out everything with MBO manufacturers, pre-build partners, ship the stuff to retailers, see how things are with actual manufacturers of chips for future products, ship stuff to reviewers, try to combine all of that and many, many more, and you want everything to be as perfect as possible and AMD is doing a great job this time considering the weight and the size of this particular launch.

What people need to do it start looking at stuff like this from consumer perspective and look from at it business perspective and suddenly many things make sense.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

It's two days later than everyone thought they'd release it. Not really that long. Not to mention AMD didn't say the release would be on the 28th. So I really have no idea why you think you have any reason to be upset.

The AMD CPU is the same price as the Intel one you're looking at (ish), and if you believe their marketing then it should be a considerably better performer when it comes to gaming and streaming at the same time.

If you don't, wait like the rest of us.

I'm more annoyed that they decided to launch only the flagship line up first, and save the mid and entry level tiers for so much later in the year. I hope it burns them.

I think it's a stupid marketing strategy, and I think it shows they don't really have complete faith in their product. If they did they'd have no problem releasing benchmarks before people buy it.
