Loop under $200?

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

Get an AIO. If you want a custom loop then save up $400+ for good quality parts.

Cheaping out is the worst thing you can do when putting liquid in a pc.

So I'm new to this whole water cooling thing and while I have a whole lot more to do before doing a custom loop I was wondering if it was possible to do a loop under $200 (and if not $300)

Also random question: could I use rad and/or block off of a kraken x52 in a custom loop?

Thanks

Yeah sure, no problem.

EK has some nice kits in budget, at least if you don't mind going for 300 bucks.

If your only going for a CPU loop it's doable at around $300USD, but for both a CPU and GPU your looking at around $500USD starting price. You cannot take the parts from an AIO and use it into your loop as those aren't design for that not to mention the rads being aluminum.

you CAN do custom watercooling for under $60 even, but the less you spend the less you will get out of it and if you spend less then $200 i would guess you would have been better of with good aircoolers. i have been recomnended a $150 loop from some sales rep that was on the forum(well it was more i chalanged him to pice something together lol) so it should definatly be doable for under $300. i would look into the costs of decent rads and blocks and find something that fits your budget, and for fans(and sometimes rads and fitings) i would turn to the used market. i got myself 3 NF-F12s for $20 or something so there are definatly deals to find :D

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
