Hey guys, I was just wondering, what could be the most silent solutions for building a computer. I already have Be quiet Pure Power 10 600W PSU and a RX480 Msi Gaming X 8GB card. I will wait for Ryzen so when it comes out I'll probably buy a computer. My main concern is the sound the computer will emit (both idle and on load). My budget will me around 1000 Eu for everything else needed (case, fans, mobo, ram etc.) What solution should I buy, air based or liquid AIO? Maybe you can also suggest some things I could use in my upcoming build?

Water cooling doesn't get quieter until you invest a lot of money into large custom loops.  AIOs can and generally are louder than air coolers, but do give a performance advantage.  If you are going for silence, stick to air or save up for a large custom loop. Skip the AIO.

You want an air cooler if you want a simple thing you can just buy without a ton of assembly (AKA watercooling which is quiet). AIOs have pumps and are louder than a quiet air cooler. A be Quiet Dark Rock or Noctua P12S would work well.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

That's what I did. Full accompaniment of SW3 140mm 1000RPM PWM fans (x4) with the stock 120mm in the back. full power is ... well may cat purrs louder than that.

Air cooler dark pro 3 is great!

Try to avoid using HDD ... I have 250gb SSD for windows, 480Gb (cheapest possible SSD) for games and other thing, and then WDMyCloud NAS device 4TB for movies and other stuff. But it's in another room, connected via gigabit ethernet. 100MB/s read/write is still pretty decent.

Use PSU that have zero fan mode. Something like RM650x that I use ... even when playing games and stress testing it under full load, I don't hear it. I'm pretty sure fans don't even spin lol

And for GPU, check for reviews which one is the most quiet. When idle, any GTX 1070/1080 should have zero fan mode enabled, but when gaming I thing Gaming X is the most quiet.

If you use all that, you won't hear your PC when at idle and doing basic stuff. When gaming, you will hear GPU fans spinning a bit faster, but still pretty quiet.

What case could you recommend? I was thinking something from beQuiet aswell

I used the Nanoxia Deep Silence 3, the insulated panels are heavy but it absorbs just about everything,  I put mine in my bedroom so no glass or LEDs just solid black..

Anything from Be quiet (of course, it's in the name) or Fractal design's Cases.

Fractal Design Define https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352054 which is based off of the R5 but is cheaper, has no 5.25" bays and many less hard drive bays.
