Ubuntu, Puppy, or Android.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

I use Linux Mint, ended up working quite fine for me.
The laptop I'm using has some dandy internals. Mint being as bloated as it is ends up working well enough out of the box. I don't want to bother with network card after install.
I could suggest Manjaro though, it worked for me semi-well, the main issue for me was that when I had it installed, my bios was too old for the OS to handle. After I updated I installed mint directly. I do like some graphical tools mint has though.

I started out on Mint, and then about 3 weeks later I switched to Arch and I love it.

I always was a Debian / Debian-based distro fan but lately I had the chance to use CentOS at work and now I'm becoming a big fan of Fedora as Desktop distribution.

For DE, I prefer Gnome 3 or Cinnamon if I want something more simplistic.

Arch with Cinnamon, Arch with XFCE on some old hardware I have around but lately Cinnamon doesn't use that much more memory so thinking of switching them to Cinnamon as well. Numix dark theme on both DE.

None, all of them suck. Slackware sucks the least though.
