Call of Duty: Ghosts has false system requirements

Wrenny

No video, link?

If they feel like this is a good thing, well just freakin go ahead CoD....I'm not going to buy your game, and this is only more reason to not put up with the company's low standards and high requirements.

Like he said why would they do this? It just reduces the amount of customers they will get unless they are really stupid and think that the people with less than 6GB of ram will buy it on console, because that isn't going to happen.

It's doesn't have false requirements. I checked while I was playing & it really needs 6gb RAM.

But that's not on Low settings.

Minimum means you can't run it on Lowest settings without 6GB vram wich is wrong even Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4 don't need 6Gb ram.

6Gb recommended would make sense but 6gb minimum is complete bullshit.

Same with the peformance this is one of worst optimized game that i've ever seen Black ops 2 runs 3x better.

actually the 2,400,256 kilobytes that is uses up only equates to roughly 2.3 gigabytes of ram for that process

You're right. I tested on low settings & it didn't took so much RAM.

I hope this game sell badly. They do not deserv to make extrem amounts of money from this game.
I hope that not too many get lured into buying it before knowing what they get. (Like with Simcity 2013)

I think its more along the lines of its so badly optimized that you need stupidly good hardware to run it.

You should be able to max this thing easily at 1080p 60fps with like a 660 or something or even lower, it looks as good as or even worse than black opts 2....

Too late, they already sold a moonfull. I am cautiously optimistic that the pre-order sub-humans who do this shit every year will finally learn something, but odds of that are extremely low. And Activision, Infinity Ward, and Treyarch can probably keep on not going bankrupt like they should.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Yes, but consider other processes which also eat ram & actually everything this takes more than 6gb of RAM. So if you wanna play on ultra settings you need at least 6GB RAM.

For what reason?

The game looks as good as or even worse than black ops 2....

Where is all that power going?

I don't know. I'm not developer or specialist in this, I just wanted to say that if you max out game graphics you really need lots of RAM.

For this game...not 6gb.

That is the point, nothing else, forget about everything else.

You seem to be need MUCH more power than is necessary to run this game, its already dated graphically and its not a next gen game by far.

This can only be down to stupidly poor optimization for the PC.

That is the thing what is wrong here.
