White aftermarket DDR4 RAM heat spreaders?

I bought some Corsair LPX 16gb 2400MHz DDR4 RAM for my new PC, and I was wondering if anyone knew and good and cheap white heat spreaders for this memory.

I bought the black version, and not the white version, because I could get it about £40 - £50 cheaper.

People who want white heatspreaders will paint them.

There aren't many aftermarket heatspreaders available because they are not meant to be removable.

This was my first PC build, so how easy is painting the RAM heat spreaders? And don't you need things like replacement thermal pads and things, or can you do without those?

Yes you need new thermal pads, go look at ram painting tutorials on youtube, they show you how to get them off.

Overall, is it easy to do though? Can a first time builder do it?

No, you can rip the memory off your ram.

I think I'll pass, I might just settle with painting some accents on it, surely I can just put tape over the contacts and then I don't have to take the heat spreader off, would that work?

Yeah, that's another way to do it. Just don't use paint that can melt or is electrically conductive.
