Because I'm looking at a laptop around that price point, and very few other machines have what I'd consider an acceptable build quality. I only got the normal XPS, I personally would never use a 2-in-1, I didn't even op for a touch screen. I got the XPS 13 (late 2016) with the i7 processor, 8GB or Ram, 256GB m.2 (which I will replace with a 1TB Samsung 960 evo in a year when my warranty is over), and the Quad HD+ Infinity display. So basically the most loaded XPS 13 I could get without going to a touch screen or the 2-in-1. I really wanted the developer version but I couldn't stretch my already tight budget over $2000 CAD. I really wanted at least 16GB of ram and unfortunately it's not upgradeable on the XPS 13 just the 15. But I absolutely love the 13" size as I wanted a smaller laptop. I have only owned 15" HP and Razer laptops in the past. It feels like it's so well built and I think it's the best ultrabook currently on the market. When it got shipped I was out of town so my best friend picked it up for me and I let him use it. He now has already ordered the developer version of the XPS 15 as he will replace it with his now 5 year old Mac Book Pro 15". We both use these in Adobe Premiere Pro and for full stack web development, but he has more free cash to spend then I do. I also will be using mine for Autocad and Inventor (2D and 3D design) when I can't use my main desktop system. Although for coding I mostly just use an old HP dv6 that I rebuilt and run Windows 10 based Unix for coding and that works fine for me. Being a person who works from his computer all the time I love my XPS 13 as my daily driver. The quality is fantastic, the screen has razer sharp quality, and the battery life is really good. Even put a sexy Dbrand skin on it! Posted February 6, 2017 4 minutes ago, Name Taken said: I like dedicated page up and down key layout same as on Thinkpads. Noooo. We need the old page back, page forward layout there. The PgUp/Down should sit with delete, home and end like x20 series and earlier had it. Stupid lenovo. But it would be nice if linus check the new x1 carbon and yoga out. And this time mention the class leading water resistance and roll cage which is a big point of the thinkpads which linus missed last year.
 Posted February 6, 2017 I'm currently using a XPS13 Skylake, and it's been great. I don't really like the look of the 2-in-1 version though, nor do I have a use for a 2-in-1, so I guess I'm sticking with mine.
 Posted February 6, 2017 So this seems like it can't handle gaming, but the HP spectre and Razer stealth also seem like a good choice, how does one decide from the 3? And because Linus is wearing Sandels without socks, I feel I should give him $50, but you guys stopped doing patreons.
 Posted February 7, 2017 "From the archive" episode maybe with that unreleased 2014 video footage? Just wondering, you might not release that footage because it's not up to your 'current' standard of quality, but then why not release two videos on one day, one bad and one great makeup for the crappy videos. There's a lot of videos I'll like to see from you linus media group that I'm aware will only appeal to a particular target audience like how xeon have progressed over the years that you yourself (linus) wanted to make from that video on Xeon E5-2699v4
