Can I Use a replaced HDD?

Recently my HDD failed, so i bought some replacements, reinstalled Win10 etc. I still have the old drive, however, and I was curious if i could put it in my PC and possibly still use the space on it?

It was a 250 GB drive, I was working on my PC and it failed. The BIOS still recognizes the device and the storage, so is it possible i could wipe the drive and reuse it? And is it possible it could damage my PC?

It won't damage your PC. But if it failed, then you'll probably lose whatever you put on it at some point.

...key word there is failed. Why use a broken HDD? What a confusing question.

Well I honestly have no use for it, i have plenty of storage on my PC and im not trying to recover what i had on there, just wondering if i fix it.

If it works you can use it but I don't recommend putting anything important. if it failed once it can fail again and die
