Will the price of the 1080 drop if the 1080ti launches?

Kenji the Uke

Just wondering 3: Almost have my savings up for a 1070 but if the price might go down for the 1080 enough to make it worth it, I'd be interested :3 Any thoughts?

If one launches at all owo

That's the point, iMHO it is more likely that they skip it or wait what vega delivers, but I don't thin they do again a titan killer like with maxwell (which a 1080ti would be obviously). Vega might have a bigger influence on pricing than a 1080ti.

with the 980ti, they only lowered the prices by around $ 50

Yep, it smashes most anything at max setting in 1440p at 60fps unless you use crazy AA settings

They all use the same chip, no real difference save for a few FPS from better temps/higher clocks

Using Rise of Tomb Raider as example. I can run it max settings plus 2x SSAA and get around 50fps, lower quality FXAA or SMAA nets higher frames.

Go on Techpowerup, Techspot, HardOCP, Guru3d or any number of benchmark sites and find a 1080 benchmark review. It will give you a general idea of what it's capable of

I wanted to know how do they impact graphics fidelity , not performance wise
