Server as gaming pc?

Hi, i was wondering if a Dell powerEdge T110 on craigslist for around $50 could handle modern games?

 

Specs

Intel Xeon E3-1220V2 / 3.1 GHz

8GB of memory

500GB HDD

128GB usb 3.0 flash drive for game storage

 

 

And if i were going to buy it what video card should i chose

well, it depends what games you are aiming, the CPU is not the strongest, so pairing with a high end GPU wouldnt help, a GTX 1050Ti is as far as I would go for it, though considering all is used I am to believe you would buy an used GPU as well, in that case the rx 460/470 might be the best cost to performance here.

I would go with a GTX 1060 for a gpu.

Hey there, guy with a server as a gaming PC.

I've got DUAL Xeon E5-2670's, both are 8 cores, 16 threads, so a total of 16 cores and 32 threads at 3.3Ghz, alongside 64GB's of RAM and a GTX 1060 6GB.

Performance is amazing in every application, and there are no real major downsides- if you're considering doing it go ahead. :)
