Upgrade or Rebuild?

Nich

you can add a couple of things but I would move to a newer platform this year.

What you can save: the GPU maybe?

The RAM if you go haswell

PSU can be saved

HDD can be saved

Cooler can be saved

Case can be saved

So I would rebuild around parts you can saved. Saving RAM might not be something worth it tbh

I say re purpose your current build into a steam box/htpc/NAS and build another desktop. Then show your family/friends/neighbors the benefits of pc's!

Forgive me El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education...

You could honestly just upgrade GPU to an RX 480 or similar, then when Zen comes think about upgrading CPU to Kaby or Zen
