Upgrade or Rebuild?

Nich

Don't get a B150 motherboard with 7th gen

You need BIOS update and bunch of other problems

Get a z270 so you can overclock and make it less bottleneck

Don't get a NEX PSU they are bad

Cryorig C7 is a bad cooler

No, not NEX why a cooler if you went with 6700?

6700 is not always better than an overclocked 7600k

The simple answer no. If you want higher FPS due to physics on the CPU then go with a better CPU. But you need a z270 board.

What's your display set up? Are the NEX PSUs still sub par? Why the low profile cooler?

why are you getting a B150 board with an overclocking i5?

Many questions need answering, mostly the display

and what are you using your PC for mostly?

What display do you already have? if its' 1080p 60hz it's pointless to get a high end GPU

Because with a high end GPU only like 60% or less of it will be utilized with just a 1080p 60hz display, better to get a display upgrade in my book rather than not fully utilize high end hardware

for example, this has a 4k 28" free-sync display included, pretty solid display for the money, IPS is about $100 more

upgrade the build as needed of course, though an i3 6100 is fine for 60hz gaming, the overclocking i3 will be a monster

There's also this 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display at just under $400, probably the best gaming display for the money

Course you need titan XP levels of performance to max out 4k, or 1440p 144hz, also need a high end CPU like an overclocked i5 or better to max out a 144hz display in AAA games
