Posted January 10, 2017 Really looking forward to some UK prices for this one but i am guessing it will be off the chart , somewhere in the £1300 territory , It ticks every box for me being a gamer that does a little content creation. personally I think the 1440p is the sweet spot for the ultrawide market and be able to drive it a an acceptable frame rate in AAA titles Curved 35” diagonal WQHD 21:9 display surrounds the gamer’s field of vision by offering 34% more screen than a 16:9 QHD display. 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio 2,500:1 static contrast ratio and 3-sided micro-edge LCD design with less than 7mm along the left, right, and top edges. A 1,800R curvature lessens eye strain by bringing the left and right edges inward while offering a wider field of view. NVIDIA G-Sync along with a 100Hz refresh rate eliminates screen tearing, lag and minimizes display stutter. The display uses an AMVA+ w/LED backlight panel. HP says the monitor offers 100 percent coverage of the sRGB color space. Personally i would have loved to have seen linus cover this at CES2017 or maybe do a proper review with a review unit at the end of 1/4 one links to the original article can be found below PC gamer here A youtube video from ces2017 ubergizmodotcom here Family is Everything ....But a fast pc with an SSD is NIce
 Posted January 10, 2017 Maybe I'm missing something, but it's priced the same as the Acer Predator X34 and the Asus ROG Swift PG348Q (actually a bit more since those two monitors have dropped in price a little bit) but the only difference is that HP is using an AMVA+ and the other two are IPS? I do like that HP's Omen brand has kept a clean modern look like their other products as apposed to most other gaming brands. I mean even their crazy cube PC is somewhat sleek, and isn't covered in scales (i'm looking at you Acer). I mean, if we want to go that far, we should throw the contrast ratio in there as well since I've seen more than enough displays not hit their advertised value, be it 1000:1 or something else under most conditions. Posted January 11, 2017 I already have a 29" and a 34" UW (Freesync) monitor, so my next move would prolly be a 38" UW with HDR (or Dolby Vision), Quantum Dot Display with 100Hz Freesync (at the very least) for an all AMD rig (think Ryzen + Vega ) I plan to build in the latter half of the year.
