Pc does not see 1600 MHz

My friends pc is reading 1333 MHz ram but its 1600 MHz ram how do i fix it

it doesn't see 1600 Mhz because max memory freqency is 1333 mhz :)

no, all ram will default to a lower base clockspeed in till the XMP profile is enabled.  In the case of DDR3 it defaults to 1333mhz.

For every right I had only 1866mhz and above would be at 1600 with no XMP.

 

And 1600 was at 1600 with no XMP

 

Could be his mobo tho

Is it a amd cpu? I think only Intel has XMP

AMD has AMP (AMD Memory Profile), it's exactly the same thing.

Yes, the CPU supports DDR3-1600 so it's probably a matter of turning the AMD Memory Profile on.

Yes I'm just asking becase if so that's why he can't see XMP. And AMP is not as easy to find as XPM atleast with the bios's I have used
