Is my build fine? What would you change!

Hi im looking into building a new PC with a budget of around 1300 CND$ (1000USD).

Was debating between:

Asus Z170-a motherboard VS the MSi z170a M3

i5-6600k VS i7-6700k

2x8Gb VS 2x4Gb

I will be using the computer for work purposes (Microsoft Office), to game (World of Warcraft, League of legends, Heroes of the storm, Overwatch) and video editing (1080p)

Monitor I will be using: DELL UltraSharp U2417H 1080p HD http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/accessories/apd/210-ahgf?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=210-AHGF

Thanks for the feedback.

You don't need such a powerful CPU for gaming, a i5 should be fine, you should really spend way less on the CPU and more on the GPU, maybe get a 6500, and get a 1060 3GB instead? 8GB is fine for now also.

EDIT: Just saw you have a Z motherboard so might as well spend the extra and go for a 660k

All those games can be played on an i5 6500 though... and he is sticking to 1080p... is the 6600k actually needed at all? in my opinion he should cheap up with a locked cpu and cheaper mobo so he can get a gtx 1070 and have future proof for his 1080p experience.

Yes but there is also the motherboard difference, a h110m is half the price of the z170, consider you'll be getting the stock cooler which is fine enough you'll be saving on cooling as well, it is more saving than just the straight processor price tag difference, and I know you may get afraid that your performance will be hurt but considering what you want to do... you shouldn't really have any issue with the i5 6500, but well... it is up to you.
