Cycles render engine released with permissive license

Mucuses

Blender ray-tracing engines 'Cycles' source code has been released to the public use. This is potentially a good thing for small scale software developers, because the cycles engine has many industry standard parts to it. But the article states ti better than I could, but the gist is that there are so many possibilities for both new 3d modeling software and improving the cycles engine as well.

P.S. This is the first article I've posted on the forums so any constructive criticism will be heartily welcome. Thanks!
