Best gtx 1080 for speed and cooling.

Jordyrock

I would like the best gtx 1080 for speed and cooling (not water cooled). I am going to buy it in the new year or this year?. I also have a 29" ultrawide atm and might buy another one. So that is why I am getting a 1080?

Speed as in overclocking or out of the box?

As far as cooling goes, anything with two or more fans.

Evga ftw or sc.

Cooling is all gonna be based off fan speed. They are all close enough to not make that the reason to get one over the other.

I think the Zotac AMP! Extreme is widely know for being the best gtx 1080 out there in terms of speed and overclock. And it has a MASSIVE heatsink with 3 fans that should keep it cool. You can google it and confirm, but i would go for the Zotac if i want more a bigger overclock.

Gainward Phoenix GTX 1080.

Giant heatsink, quiet fans at stock, runs cool, massive temperature overhead if you turn the fans up.

The HOF doesn't clock for ****, a Founders editions beats it. You're pay a premium for looks.

Which is fine if that's what you want, just know the HOF isn't the fastest. The ASUS Strix and Gigabyte Extreme have that honor.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I wouldn't spend money on a EVGA paper clip the way their quality control has been lately.
