Is there ever going to be another "classic" LTT build guide?

I'd honestly rather link a build guide from someone else to people who need one. The ones at tomshardware are more thorough and easy to pick up on imo

This is a bit off topic but to those who keep better track; what is the most recent video of Luke building a game oriented PC?

When Zen comes out I think they will, I remember mentioning they will do an AMD themed build in the future (not sure if it will be one of those "classic" build guides though)

I never understood the build guides. Doesn't it get boring to watch someone build a PC? Surely the steps are the same in every video.

Not only that those guides often had some terribly justified hardware choices for the build (Linus going with a clearly worst Nvidia GPU because he likes the stupid fucking Nvidia Shield comes to mind) so the idea of "let me show you how to build this exact built" is quite unnecessary.

 

I much rather like to see more case reviews in which you actually build in the case and show it but since it's not exactly main channel material (it honestly it's not entertaining for most people) but I don't see why shouldn't it be a live stream thing.

It depends. Though there are boring build videos, there are also many which are quite entertaining. Yes, the steps are the same, but it is in the builder to make the video entertaining.
