I am making a website for an assignment (In HTML) and I need a hand with stuff in general. I am a complete noob

Are you using ASP.NET? If so, what kind of ASP.NET application are you building? A button can be different for each type of application.

After talking to the OP in PMs it's actually just a client-side only site (only HTML, CSS, and JavaScript). No C# or server-side language is being used.
