How is this even remotely popular?? 

 

HE HAS 0 RAP SKILLS, at least Lil Wayne can rap.. My god, I'm literally dumbfounded.

news to me....

thought it was just some random person who can't sing talking normally because they have no control over their voice....

It's somewhat catchy, that's good enough for most people unfortunately.

if he stuck to the melodic rock he'd probably be alright.. but why mix in rap and screamo? especially when i could growl better than him with my damaged vocalcords..

Rap is spoken word set to rhythm. There's actually a lot of musical elements that are present in rap music (not today's rap, anyways. That's pretty much all garbage.). Take it from some one who's studied music theory: you might not like it, but it's music, alright.

i am a fan of hip/hop rap but this is just not it.

YES RAP IS MUSIC
not saying it all is but there are artists that involve serious lyricism which trumps all forms of music. for example i cant find a single artist that can compare to Kendrick Lamar at this time 
not all rap is "fuck bitches and get money" try and have an open mind
