Which one should i pick? someone sell me this.. i3 2100 3.1ghz ,dual core 4 hyperthread(yes) ,3M cache OR

 

i5 2300 2.8 ghz ,quad core ,4 thread,no hyperthread, 6M cache

i5 2300

Real cores are always better than hyperthreaded ones and most applications these days do benefit from up to 4 cores.

what are you using it for?

I5 if you plan to game and i3 if you plan to use it to surf the web and check email

I'd get a newer chip.
The i5 I suppose, though.
