These platforms are tools. Rather than asking if a hammer is better than a screwdriver, one might ask what is the best use for each.

What if I tell you that hammer is indeed better than a screwdriver... because if you can't screw the shit out of it, break it with the hammer till the screw comes out

1. Had the G3258 @ 4.6Ghz now with a i3-6100, even though there not the same 'tier cpu' skylake.

2. Higher IPC, also there is a noticable difference between performance between two CPUs from Haswell and Skylake (of the same tier)

3. I have skylake

4. I dont regret it at all, only thing I regret doing is not goingfor an i5 (somewhat)

5. Gaming, progamming, youtube, does its job.

I currently have Skylake, runnin happy with my i7-6700k.  I got it because it was the best without going X99 and I don't need more than 4 cores right now.  I plan to upgrade when I need to,  I am studying game design and rendering 3D models and packaging levels in UTE4 is easy right now but if I need more horsepower I'll upgrade.  I don't regret it at all.  I use my rig for high end gaming and game development, I use 3Ds Max, UTE4, Photoshop. I play so0o0o0ooo many games (over 180 in my Steam library alone).

Ah, but the screwdriver is better than the hammer. A single stab can kill. :)

Use the spiky end of the hammer and it's arguably more deadly.

1. Haswell-e

2. I like 18 core xeons

3. No :(

4. Not really, as I can't afford x99

5. No. most of the time I would barely use a g4400s potential, but the other 4% or so a ridiculous 24 core Xeon would be nice

i7-4790K.

11 minutes ago, Giovanni7 said:

2. Why?

My wife moved to X99 and her 4790K had no home, so I put my 4690K in the HTPC and took the 4790K.

Maybe once Intel and AMD have some decent competition.

4. Do you regret your selection?

Haha, no.

Yes, as it processes compute units centrally (depending on which anagram you go for).

1. Skylake

2. Cheaper, especially with sales

3. No

4. I bought a 6700k which is the most expensive I could go with my budget. No complaints.

5. Yes - editing, streaming, and gaming are all great for the price. If I went with X99 I could get more editing performance, but it's not worth it in my opinion.

You need to follow back the quotes. Then it will make sense . . . sort of.

Uhhh...cause you use a screwdriver to build a PC and a scewdriver is a tool and a hammer is also a tool...?

When someone comes in here talking about how underrated Vishera is, we can hit them with the pointy end of the hammer and put a stop to it.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

I wish quote within a quote would be a thing in LTT but then some people don't remove them and you get too many quotes

Weakling

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.
