  1. What would the preferred card be then? Also don't plan on dropping the 3600.
  2. Switched for the MSI Ventus 1650 Super. The one you have is more expensive and currently sold out.
  3. 2600 seems fine, don't know if it's worth the $20 to take that cut. Why the 1650 over the 570? Also, I would like to stay ATX on this build. Interesting memory pick though, it may be worth the extra.
  4. How soon exactly? Isn't a lot of stuff released Q2?
  5. Didn't see the be quiet! one. I've replaced the EVGA one with it.
  6. Putting together a list for a less tech-inclined friend. It'll be his first time building. I'm not too familiar with this price point. His budget is "$500 give or take", but I struggled to get it that low without sacrificing performance or buying some bad deals. 7. Pulled the trigger on a ridiculously overpriced $85 Behringer UM2 on ebay because it was still less than the Komplete and bought myself a V67G. Hopefully everything will arrive intact. Thanks for your help!
  8. Everything Behringer including the C2 is out of stock right now for some reason. The cheapest alternative I can find is the Native Instruments Komplete Audio 1, which is $109 and a little more than what I can spend on an interface. I've been looking at the MXL 770 because it's slightly cheaper than the V67G and comes with a shock mount. The MB75 shipping to US is more than the mic price itself, so that's probably not going to happen. Wasn't sure which one you meant by the CM1. If an XLR setup is too expensive ($150+), I may just go with the Samson Q2U (seems more recommended than
  9. I've heard good things about the UM2. I can't use the 2200 (as mentioned I'm borrowing it for another use). If I were to buy a mic for up to $100 (if I'm going XLR might as well) would the pick be different? Later note: UM2 is expensive everywhere. I can't find it for $30 anymore. A lot of things are out of stock. Looking at a Behringer C2 + UM2 combo... but can't buy either.
  10. Recs for a ~$75 budget (I know this is low for audio) directly into the PC? Noticed your rec page but was wondering if you had anything in mind. I have actually a GXL2200 sitting on my desk right now but it's a loaner and I don't have a way to hook it up to my PC, so still making do with the ModMic.
  11. That's what I figured, but hoped wasn't true. I don't know if I'd like to gamble with them again.
  12. So - I've owned the ModMic 4 for around 4 years now. Gradually the noise has become worse and worse, and I now use Equalizer APO to get rid of most of it. Still, every two months or so the noise profile changes and I have to mess with the settings to get it to sound fine. I have to boost the mic to +30dB for it to be loud enough as well. I'm looking for a permanent solution because it's been getting quite annoying to do this all the time. It may just be time to sacrifice the convenience of the ModMic for a Snowball. P.S. Microsoft Teams also hates my mic, and likes to make it cut o

  14. Does that make all 9th gen (except for the i9s) bad picks? Gotta say I don't 100% buy the argument but I see where you're coming from. I'll let him decide.
  15. Hmm. Does HT really make the processor last longer? I think the card is between the 5700XT and 2070. The 2070 Super is a little expensive. I don't think he'll be overclocking directly out of the box. I already have a Dark Rock 4 in the system, so I won't be using a stock cooler. The only difference is SMT or not. Why do you say it has better longevity?
