i'm liking the new Nvidia drivers @ivhyn . they make my card less stable so it can't clock as high but i got a much higher score and i take back my fastest gtx670 crown!

they are scary fast. the main problem is that there are no decent 7970/280x on this forum to give you a bit of competition, instead you are sitting in the slower 780/970/290 territory  saying that, i've just noticed a pair of 7970's with a decent oc at around 4400

Yeah I'm thinking of putting them underwater and bumping the voltage to 1.4V and pushing them to their absolute max. My older 770 could do almost 1.5Ghz on the core with that voltage but due to temps was constantly throttling.

I sure don't yet. I want to reach 1700mhz when I go to the 900 series cards.

And here's another submission form me. I am selling my R9 290X's and bought 2 GTX 980's. I am very impressed as they run super cool. And that overclocking... I reached this clocks without touching the overvoltage slider. I'm really impressed.

 

i7 4790k @ 4,8GHz

2x GTX 980 Phantom SLI @ 1470 MHz GPU / 2000MHz Mem (max. was 60C at 100% fan speed for the benchmark)

EDIT: Oh and does anyone know why my bottom card gets slightly hotter? Usually for 3-5°C. I never had that before. I always had the top card running hotther.

 

Oh and I cant say it enough. Im sooooooooooooooooooooo impresseed. Had R9 290X's. Now got 980 Phantom's. There were no reviews at all, it was a "blind" buy but it was the right decision!

Concerning the temps I think you will find that Valley is misreporting the Top card as the bottom one and vise versa

yeah it does that. i noticed the same thing when running sli 480's

Don't know whats up with mine though. Did core 1701, 1801 with both having 1989 memory OC, the score is the same as my 1601    , and the same 4.5 Haswell.

 

The same fps dip for min dps, and the same score but different highest fps with 191dps  on 1701 and 206 for 1801.
