Netflix new player

When going on Netflix today I got a new web player. I think they are just A/B testing, but thought you guys would like to see it.

 

It is in norwegian btw. :)

They've only recently added to Canada, about a month or two ago.

 

I'd prefer if Netflix would spend more money bringing better content to Canada(and other places) than spending it on new versions of itself.

Got it too in Denmark. It's clean, but I've never been a big fan of the transparent overlay of things on video. Then again, it means it won't change the size of the picture, which is much much worse. Seems good.

This is a nice change, does it feel less clunky as well? Both the Windows 10 app and the web UI has always felt slow/clunky to deal with, that's what they really need to improve. 

 

Also, of course, adding 4K and HDR to PCs, but that's complicated.

I've tried all browsers, Windows 7 doesn't get 1080p.

When I checked a little over a year ago it went up to ~3000KB/s (their higher tier 720p), it now only goes up to ~2200KB/s (their lower tier 720p).

AFAIK you need to be on Windows 8/10 and using IE, Edge, or the Netflix App to get 1080p (~4000-6000KB/s); you can also get 1080p on OS X with Safari.
