I have a 200$ budget for a cpu in LGA 1151 socket is i5 6500 a good one? or should I get something else

yes I have one do quite good depend on the game but in the budget a good option

if you could make it to a microcenter you could get the 6600k for 199$ other wise i would hold off for black friday and you might be able to pick one up around that price anyways

well, thanks for the advice. The cost for me go to a mico-center will be about 60$ so i guess i am choose the 6500

try for i5 6600 non k for that extra clock speed, won't hurt you

basically any of the i5 gen 6 series just get better with how much you pay for them. theres no real competition from AMD. so just get the best gen 6 i5 you can afford. Other tips: get 2nd hand, cpus are hard to break. Or wait till black friday

The i5-6500 is a great gaming cpu. Definitely go for it.
