What's a good price to sell a used GTX 980?

JerrBear

The GPU I currently have is this one right here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TS455CW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (GTX 980 4GB FTW GAMING ACX 2.0)

I have an acquaintance willing to buy my used GPU for $250 USD, is that a good price to sell my used GTX 980 or should I try find something elsewhere?

  • CPU = i7 5930k
  • Cooler = Corsair H100i
  • RAM = Dominator Platinum 32GB DDR4-2666

  • GPU = EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3

  • Monitor = Asus PG278Q

Darn, compare to what other used GTX980 going for less.  I say you got lucky buyer there if they are willing to buy the card off you for that price.

Thanks guys, I'm going to try sell it to him and perhaps get a GTX 1080. I wonder if I should wait for the next GPU or just sell my 980 and buy a 1080

I'd seen a 980 sold for 150 a few hours ago...a more fair price is around 200-230 to the people who know their parts.

Yep, if you know where to look you can find cheap GPUs.

I keep seeing used 980Tis going for like 320 or less.

On a different topic do you guys think it would be worth selling my 980 for $250 and buying a 1080 with a few hundred extra out of pocket? Or wait for something else like a 1080 ti?
