RAID working when idle

Hello all,

I have a 5-bay Raid 0 (sidenote: aware of the risks of striping together 5 drives, but am religious with backups), but I notice that after a while of Windows idling, it goes into full read/write in task manager? Is it redistributing the data within the RAID? What Is it doing? When I move the mouse again, the activity goes away...

Will just be regular background defragging, unrelated to RAID.

Check this post: https://superuser.com/a/1135039

It details how to disable it, though it's probably best to leave it enabled, at least for HDDs (disable for SSDs, since it's unnecessary and shortens their lifespan)

Windows already knows when a drive is an SSD and doesn't do it there.
