ebay, craigslist, or forums would probably be your best bet.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

Visit other Non-Corporate tech shops, ask if you can do child labor under the table in exchange for tech knowledge and experience.

You'll have better luck mowing lawns. Everyone who builds their own computers gets this idea in their head that they can make a bunch of money building for other people and that is very rarely ever the case; furthermore, anyone who does commission you to build them a machine may hold you liable for any issues they encounter, whether you're responsible or not.

I used to work in Retail. There is very very very very very low profit margins in consumer electronics. Your not going to make any money.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Make a Facebook page, and have friends and family share it, make a website with Weebly or something similar and make a business email, try to advertise yourself.

Yeah anyone who keeps saying that in middle school you can't make money any other way than to mow lawns just wasn't creative them selfs.

Anyone who says you can't sell machines in middle school just never did it them selfs, and weren't creative enough to do it.

Theres been 3 users, including my self, who've just encouraged this idea because we've successfully done so.

I would buy $50 towers, add larger HDD's, add a graphics card, a wifi card and a graphics card and install a ton of programs. My investment was up to $200 and my PROFIT was up to $200.

I was selling 1-6 machines monthly for very little "work" and a lot more fun since I loved doing that. Mowing lawns is tough work and once you've mowed all the lawns you have to wait about 2 weeks or a month to stay mowing again.

With selling machines, you ARE also offering tech support for the future. Once you get a call for help, you charge them hourly or per case to fix their issues. NEVER offer free support.

Anyways: if you're passionate enough, make a website, ask ur parents if people can come to the house/garage or find a small tech shop who will let you use their business so you can meet with people, build rappor, seem professional with a website and even a store front or real address for business.

Never give up on your idea. Make flyers. Spread them everywhere. Leave business cards at bus stops and coffee shops/any billboard anywhere. Make a newspaper ad. Find your local public broadcast channels studio and find out how much it would cost to shoot and air commercials.

It doesn't matter how young or old you are, what grade you are in or what amount of education you've completed:

If you are good at what you do, passionate about what you do and love doing what you do; as long as you make effort to reach out, you will reach all your goals.

I literally have done of all this my self when I was in highschool 10 years ago. I had a small contractor/free lance business called StreetTech.info and I've done all the above. I made a pretty good amount of money doing so and to this day I still have people calling me for remote support and PayPal deposits.

@happy57110: you do you babe, don't let the trolls tell you to mow lawns!

Ebay, craigslist and pretty much any seconhand selling site requires users to be 18+.

Horrible idea if you want to keep customers, plus you never know if you originally caused the issue so you are charging thwm for something you broke.

Some people have been able to make money doing so, but it will never be a stable income, or given that you will make money, mowing lawns, or anything like it is reasonable and more of a better option since every house is going to need its lawn mowed, but not every house is going to need a computer fixed, or ever rarely built.

Plus as a MINOR check your local regualations, in the US, or Canada, your parents may be held liable for your actions, so if you do things like scam people it is your parents who may be taken to court, fixing computers is a better option avoid some of this,

Who the hell tells their real age online? I had an eBay account when I was in 6th grade. Used to buy and sell Gundam figurines.

Stop disencouraging the OP, warning that his actions might get his parents in trouble. Duh, give him some credit. I'm sure he understands that.

And when you sell a machine and they call saying they have viruses: that's not the OP's fault. I'm sure he can deterime his self if his clients are calling about an issue that the OP possibly caused or if it was definitely the end-user.

Again happy57110: don't let anyone disencourage you. Talk with your parents and even ask if they can co-sign a bank for you so you can use the online accounts like PayPal to link to an eBay or other selling site like Amazon.

Happy57110: if you need any sort of help related to any tech and you fear these people will spend too much time warning you instead of providing more ideas: hit me up over PM and I'll coach you and we can bounce ideas around.

This would still be illegal.  A minor can't enter into the contracts that comprise an eBay sale for example.

Hundreds of millions of people are doing this daily. Stop disencouraging other members and no I'm not "promoting him to commit crimes" or whatever other triggered BS you wanna come up with SJW's.

The FLAW with eBay is they don't ask for social security number or ID number for human verification. This means that any one of any age can just fill out a profile and select an age that is 18 or older and then just link a bank account.

If he needs a bank, he can open one at 16 without a parent in most US states, otherwise ask a friend, parents or other family.

Go away, you're not helping happy57110, you're just scaring him away. You jealous that he has some good ideas and might be richer than you one day or something?

He's his own man. He can make his own decisions. If he wants to try and bypass eBays ToS, and he will absolutely get away with it, then that's his decision to make.

You aren't a warranty service representative and he's not telling you he wants to overclock his CPU. Stop telling him you can't support him. Just don't reply.

I hate when passionate young techy people are treated like the OP is being treated. Just answer his questions. Treat everyone on the internet like an adult. You aren't his parents, you don't need to be warning him.

Protip @happy57110: never tell anyone your age on the Internet if it's not 18 or older. You see how people can react. If you never mentioned your age or that you're in middle school and just said you're in school, I'm sure everyone would be giving you the same help I am instead of trying to parent you.

Social Justice Warriors.

Basically trolls.

They would rather deter @happy57110 by scaring him and telling him he shouldn't/couldn't do something than to just provide answers and let him make his own decisions.

They troll on a more personal level in hopes to get your triggered, but at the same time saying YOU triggered them. They try to parent everyone who has different opinions or views instead of just living together and ignoring content that isn't agreeable to them.

Never give in and always point out their BS, or just ignore them. That's how you fight them. Since I grew up on the Internet, I've leaned to never take a troll/SJW seriously and now I have loads of fun messing with and triggering them further.

Just be safe, follow the forum rules, never blow up and try to be more professional than them.

Did you just engine the acronym 'SJW' to criticize someone who pointed out that a minor fraudulently entering into legal contracts would be illegal?  Do you even know what 'Social Justice's means?  Because I don't think it means what you think it means.  I think you ignorantly and blindly invoked it as an insult because you heard someone else on the internet say it.

I hope this idea would pay off for the OP cuz it's definitely not gonna work where I live currently considering our country's economy is at its all time low nobody can afford a logitech g900 so I even see online shops selling it for less than amazon  with the shipping fee and taxes included and where I live, u need to pay a ton for taxes and shipping fee where I live if u wanna buy stuff from overseas, people are desperate to get their capital back, the prices dropped so much cuz people can't afford it with the corruption and shit of my country's government and the last election was rigged r prime minister got third world country workers, gave'em temporary citizenship just so they could vote for the corrupt government and on top of that, they even did something like "oh wait, something happened to the electricity line(the government was losing) ah we got a new report, the electricity line is back on line and the government got more votes" and because the previous corrupt prime ministers made it so we couldn't just kick the corrupt government of the spot, the executive of the country has stolen I would say at least $4 billion u would know what I'm talking about if u know di Caprio's 1mdb scandal with a certain corrupt government

I'm not telling him to break the law: I'm telling to set his birthdate on his eBay account to Janurary 1st 1923.

Last time I checked, it wasn't against any law in any country to lie about your age on the Internet. Especially when the websites only form of confirming the online age is by allowing the end-user to set what ever age they choose when they create a profile.

If it was actially a law that you must enter your real life identity age: I'm sure that they would add additional checks to verify that the online accounts inputted age actually matched the real persons identity age.
