Wireless adapter wont pick up my (or other sky) networks

AcidicStylez
Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

Yah, those are all 802.11g and b network settings. Looks like you'll need to get a different network card that supports the older standards as well.

Got a TP-Link AC450 for a new build i did for someone (guy thought he had a LAN port for wired connection... he didn't) and it wont pick up my network, or any sky network for that matter, yet finds others. Other wireless devices pick up multiple sky networks including mine. Tried reinstalling drivers, flushing DNS, manualy creating the network. Nothing.

Any ideas?

Have you tried installing the utility?

Yes, same results. Show other networks, none of which are sky, and connecting through the utility doesn't seem to work any better.

The AC450supports only 802.11ac/n connections, do the sky boxes broadcast older standards like 802.11 b/g ?

You might be right.

These are the options in my wireless network settings.

Mode:

Auto

54g Auto

54g Performance

54g LRS

802.11b Only
