This reminds me of how TTL made a bad review for the Asus Maximus mobo. They are both just trying to report the truth.

I never heard of TB before that live stream he was in, the first thing I did when I woke up the following day was to do a couple of hours of very very manly work and then proceed to eating dead animals and watching TBs reviews of games I know very well myself. I agreed to just about everything he said. He had a lot of critique that I hadn't picked up in any other review and he praised the things I liked. Further on I watched a few vids of games I was curious about, and his critique is sometimes a little nitpicky, but he also had good reflected criticism and praise. So to the guys who say he only bashes games, no, do not agree. To the guys who say he should tell devs how they should have designed stuff, no, he's not a consultant.

There are two sides to the story.

 

On one edge you have to consider that the majority of the fans of the big review sites and YouTubers are brainless morons who just parrot the opinions of the review websites. So if a company or person slaughters a game in the review then the developers should be able to pull it because it could absolutely kill any chance the game has of being a success.

No! Just no! A maker of things should NEVER be able to pull critique of its product. Slander, yes, but critique, no. If a game receives bad press, then it's up to the guys doing the PR to sell it as best as they can. If a game sucks, I value my ability to find out about it before paying for that game way higher than the livelihood of the guys that made it.

Another thing, the devs said TB had no right to make a profit of that code(?) Yes, he did! He received a review code, he is a reviewer, it's his job. People get paid for their job, they make profit. Did they expect that no one would make money reviewing their game?

If a game is really that terrible, a proper way to critique a game would be to offer suggestions on how the game could be not terrible. TB rarely does that, and rarely does that properly. 

 

Openly bashing a game isn't critiquing, regardless of how awful he thinks it is. 

 

I'll say it once again, since people don't seem to be getting the point: In any conflict, both sides share the blame in varying levels. No one side is completely right or wrong.

That's completely wrong actually. TB's job is not to help the developers, it's to help the players. The only thing he should be doing is finding out the good and bad aspects of a game and explaining or showing them in the video, how the developers could have improved it is completely irrelevant to 99.999% of his subscribers.

TB did exactly what he was supposed to do. If you think that what people want to see is suggestions on how to improve games then go ahead and make a channel yourself, but neither the players nor the developers will care about your content.

As long as it gets posted it doesn't really matter who posts it IMHO.

NerdCubed has covered it also, he uploaded a blank video titled as a Let's Play, the audio track is him ranting about the situation.

 

It is becoming increasingly evident that this developer has brought down a whole world of worse than TB's video on their game lol

The key part of that was "attack on our company" stupid "anonymous"  reviewer is stupid.

This was my post, before it was pointed out that there are plenty already;

 

So, some of you may have heard about the shenanigans surrounding the game titled; "Day One Garry's Incident".

I think it ties in well to what Linus talks about on, in which they also breifly covered in (when TB was on), the WAN show. In which YouTube[Google] really doesn't do enough to protect the content creators and the shambles in which the Copyright system currently is. (TekSyndicate also cover this frequently.)

 

I can understand, Google needs to protect their assets in a world in which such outdated Copyright practices exist, which is fine. But it crosses the line when YouTube[Google] are trying to promote and aid in better and more flourished online content when there is no protection given to provide security against random attacks in which creators may come under, take Millbee for example, shut down over a slight mishap in editing, in which TotalBiscuit did in fact help recover his account. 

 

The DMCA system is a shambles and is abused far too much, for example. 

 

The video is well worth a watch. I just hope this post isn't removed under suspicious circumstances.  ^_^

Just disgusting practices by the developer I hope that TB and maker studios fight this with everything they have as it could set a really bad precedent for all youtuber's and turn youtube reviews into a wasteland or pre approved shit if other company's see Wild Games Studio getting away with this and start doing it themselves

The only difference between a politician and a criminal in patience . A criminal will try to take everything immediately where as a politician known to take it one small piece at a time

I actually went to read the game reviews on Metacritic. LMAO at all those fake positive reviews..That was really a low thing to do. Lets see how many postive reviews it can get over the legendary Big Rigs:Over The Road Racing game,one of the worst game over existed

This is seriously sad for a game dev to do... I really do hope they will learn from this. I mean they already have 0.9 score on Metacritics, their Facebook page flamed with hate and all YouTube videos they made mostly disliked. Shame on them!
