What can I do with a Pi Zero?

So recently I recieved a gift voucher for some hobbyist electronics website. There was literally nothing on the website I wanted, but then I came across something that seemed kind of cool: a Raspberry Pi Zero starter kit, rapidly running out of stock. Eagerly, I clicked buy, feeling very pleased with myself, but I remembered: I have no idea what to do with it.

 

I'm kind of tempted to take the spare heatsink I have lying around and trying to overclock the snot out of it, but after I'm done with that I'd like to put it to good use. What practical uses do you suggest for a Pi Zero? What useful stuff can I actually do with the thing?

or you could by a small retro gaming system from it. or a security alarm. or a mobile radio transmitter, or a mobile ftp server.

DNS ,NTP, and FTP server are just a couple things that come to mind.

You can sell it.... it is very practical. you can use the money to buy upgrades to your current computer

A Pi Zero won't sell for much, I'd rather just use it. Plus there's literally nothing in my PC that needs an upgrade

You can use it for various types of servers such as email servers, TS3, etc. Or smart home stuff would be cool.

You can make a weather dashboard/Weather station/Weather center. A GPS. Or a robot.

Tesla Coil which can play music throu MIDI and other stuff controlled by the Pi.

Retropie gaming thingies are definitely cool. You can also turn it into a plug PC, either an HDMI one that you plug into a TV for Kodi (with or without Retropie) or one you plug into a desktop as a USB ethernet gadget. You can also do other types of gadgets, like a mass storage thing, or a keyboard or mouse, or etc. If you wanted to do some hacking, you could stick a couple kinds of proximity sensors on it and turn it into a gesture controllers that operates the mouse cursor.
