PC build/upgrade

tacticious

Let's start with my current build -

I5-3570k / Asus GTX 980 / MSI Z77A - G43 / Corsair CX 600W (I think) / 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Ram / Intel 335 Series 180GB SSD / WD Blue 500GB HDD / Corsair H80i / Define R4 case

Last year I upgraded to the GTX 980 and the psu, but recently I decided that I wanted to upgrade the whole build.

My goal is to build a PC in a mini-itx form factor - I am tired of having to carry a big case around, it's a pain in the ass when having LANs with friends. When it comes to the case I'd like something like the BitFenix Prodigy but I am open to other suggestions. Windows on the case are not a "must".

I will be keeping the 980 (probably upgrade to a gtx 1080 later) and the HDD/SSD but I plan on upgrading those two or just adding two new ones and keeping the current drives that I have.

I will be using the pc for gaming, some light streaming (currently streaming is a pain in the ass on my i5, the FPS in games tanks hard) and video editing. I will be overclocking aswell

Budget is around 10 000 swedish krones ( or about 1200 usd ). That should include mobo/ram/cpu/psu (if this one doesn't fit?) /cooling (if the h80i doesn't fit?). I won't be needing space in the case for an SLI config, as I plan on getting a gtx 1080 later which should be enough.

My knowledge on small form factor PCs is limited which is why I'm turning to LTT for help :)

I would highly recommend to go for this build if you want a very small & sleek pc. (Building part is little bit tricky but you can watch some videos for that.)

Check it & if you want a bigger case then i will suggest you another build.

Is there a preferred website to buy parts because pcpartpicker only has a few EU countries

Or if you're fine with a USD build then...

Try inet.se / komplett.se and maaaybe cdon.se
Those are the best (I guess) here in Sweden.

If an ATX psu fits in that case, then is there a point to buying a new one if my current psu fits fine?

Also any benefit to upgrading to a h115i or should I just keep the h80i for cooling?

imo I would upgrade to the h115i if you are intending to OC

and I forgot that you had a PSU, theres a whole controversy about CX power supplies and getting a new one fits your budget so??

Could you suggest another PSU as that one is only available on cdon and i'd prefer to order everything from one page

Most ANY seasonic power suppply is top notch, so just get one that fits your budget/wattage and you should be fine

Another alternative is the EVGA G2 series, or any XFX Unit, Avoid the XT Series
